Free email verifier

Check any address in seconds — format, MX records, disposable domains and role accounts, with a deliverability score. No signup, and we never send an email.

WHAT WE CHECK
Syntax

RFC-aware format validation catches malformed addresses.

MX records

Confirms the domain publishes mail servers that can receive email.

Disposable domains

Flags throwaway inboxes from temporary email services.

Role accounts

Detects info@, support@ and other shared addresses.

How to read the result

deliverable

Mailbox confirmed by a live SMTP check. Safe to send.

risky

Warning signs — role account, disposable domain, catch-all, or a mailbox that couldn't be confirmed.

undeliverable

Will bounce. Bad format, no mail servers for the domain, or the mail server said the mailbox doesn't exist.

unknown

The check couldn't complete (DNS or SMTP didn't answer). Try again in a moment.

Frequently asked questions

Is this email checker really free?

Yes. The single-address checker is free and requires no account. Sign up free for 500 verification credits to clean CSV lists and use the API — credits never expire.

Do you send an email to the address?

No. ClearMX never sends email. We check the address format, the domain's DNS and MX records, and known disposable providers.

What does each result mean?

Deliverable means the mail server confirmed the mailbox exists. Risky means warning signs — a role account, disposable domain, or a mailbox we couldn't confirm (some providers block verification probes). Undeliverable means it will bounce. Unknown means the check couldn't complete.

Can I verify a whole list?

Yes — create a free account, upload a CSV, and download a cleaned list with a result for every row.

Need to verify a full list?

Create a free ClearMX account to clean CSV lists, verify by API, and get 500 free verification credits — they never expire.
