Why we built it
Most email verification tools are built for enterprise senders and priced like it — minimum commitments, sales calls, and per-thousand rates that only make sense at millions of addresses. Small teams end up either overpaying or skipping verification entirely and eating the bounces.
ClearMX takes the opposite approach. You buy verification credits when you need them, they never expire, and the price drops as you buy more. One credit verifies one address. The single-address checker is free and needs no account. That's the whole model — no subscription required, no seat math, no enterprise markup. If you do verify on a steady rhythm, an optional monthly plan tops the same credits up at 20% less per credit, and those credits roll over like every other credit.
We're also deliberately conservative about what we call deliverable. A valid MX record only proves a domain can receive mail — not that a mailbox exists. So an address is only marked deliverable when a live SMTP check actually confirms the mailbox; catch-all domains and mailboxes we can't confirm are marked risky, not hidden behind a false positive.
